At Hoi Bao Hieu, we are committed to honoring the care and nurturing our parents have given us by extending that same love and support to those in need. Our mission is to empower families and provide them with the resources to nurture their children, ensuring a brighter future for our community. Founded in 2017, we focus on helping families access essential daily necessities and support.
We work alongside communities to offer critical resources, emotional support, and empowerment. We believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can lead to profound change, and together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Our team of dedicated volunteers, donors, and advocates is passionate about transforming lives, one step at a time. Whether providing immediate aid or offering long-term solutions, we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.

We provide assistance with electrical and gas bills, food essentials like bread and milk, rent and bond payments, as well as temporary shelter and accommodation for those in need.

Cases Stories
4 Hours to New Home
A single mother with 4 daughters without any home, together we help her find new accommodation, schooling, and furnished with furniture.
Dangerous neighbours
Neighbour with a bad history of violence, substance abuse. Two young daughters constantly in danger. Together we help this family find new accommodation, more affordable rent, car that they can use to travel in a location that is safe, bright and no longer shared.
Lila
Our family had a fallout, and we had to sell our family home. Myself and our three kids received support through Hoi Bao Hieu from start to finish including financial assistance. Moving from our big double-storey home to a rental double-storey home took 10 helpers over three days. My older son is now beginning to understand the realities of life and is learning to contribute financially to support our family.
J & J Building
We are connected with and support Hoi Bao Hieu by helping with odd jobs and fencing around homes. Our support begins with providing the work and continues through a flexible payment system. It feels great to contribute to the community while helping families in need.
Serena
We are a family of five with three young children under five. During a difficult period when my husband went through depression, our café business declined, and the impact of COVID made things worse. We owed money to multiple creditors, including family and friends. Hoi Bao Hieu came in and helped refinance our situation, smoothing out our finances with support from government and private initiatives. We are now in a better position and gradually repaying our creditors.
Real Estate IV Sale
We work with Hoi Bao Hieu to assist tenants in finding accommodation and shelter. We help by easing rental requirements and supporting families who may not have prior rental history. Through programs like the Gradual Deposit Program, tenants can transition from renting to homeownership, paying deposits as they rent, and receiving financial guidance to meet their obligations. We also create buffers to help families manage mortgage or home loan repayments.
Thu H. T.
I look after my daughter, who is recovering from drug addiction, and her five children. Sometimes it was hard to put food on the table. Hoi Bao Hieu helped educate us on managing bills, especially electricity, and consolidating household expenses to cover schooling, medical needs, and essentials. By breaking payments into smaller portions, we were able to manage our finances without stress. Their support has been a blessing and has eased our family’s burden tremendously.
LAW 58
Through networking and support from Hoi Bao Hieu, we have created programs like the “Property Law Concierge,” which introduces young adults (16–25) to property law, including transactions, wills, power of attorney documents, licensing agreements, contract review, and financial literacy. It also provides referral opportunities for families and home-based parents to earn income while caring for children. Hoi Bao Hieu opens doors for skill-building, financial support, and community contribution.

After our family separated, my mother, two siblings, and I moved in with our grandparents. Hoi Bao Hieu helped me continue my studies and develop a strong work ethic. I learned practical skills like yard work and assisting with moving, while also contributing to household expenses. Their guidance has helped me take responsibility and support my family.

I grew up in a family of four. While my parents worked hard to provide for us, I didn’t fully understand their sacrifices. Hoi Bao Hieu taught me to appreciate and communicate with my parents daily. They also provided guidance and referrals that helped me complete my accounting degree and secure my first job in the field. Their support has given me the tools to succeed and give back.
Ocean
Hoi Bao Hieu introduced me to valuable career and life guidance, including referrals to the Law Concierge program. This helped me pursue a path toward becoming a lawyer, supporting my family, and planning for the future. I now aim to provide the same opportunities for other children and families, particularly in property law and asset protection.
Metro
During my children’s high school years, I struggled with living expenses and school costs for my three boys. Hoi Bao Hieu supported us with books, stationery, school fees, and occasional groceries. Two of my sons have now graduated, and the support we received was life-changing. I am now giving back to help other families in need.
